Abstract
Six quarry-floor buckles in a west-end Ottawa bedrock quarry are described and a semi-quantitative estimate of the stress field is inferred from them. The maximum principal stress component is horizontal with an azimuth that is constrained to the northeast-southwest quadrants and has an upper limit that is of the order of a few tens of megapascals.
