Abstract
Dendrogeomorphological methods were used to determine the frequency and magnitude of snow avalanche events below Parker Ridge, Banff National Park, Canada. Samples were obtained from two 20 transects, where transect one was located 60 m downslope from the highway and transect two was located 60 m upslope from the highway. A total of 39 samples were used. This research provided insight to avalanche frequency on Parker Ridge; however, results were unable to provide meaningful trends in respect to the magnitude of events due to the small sample size.
