Abstract
Specific stage damage curves have been developed for each geographic areas according to recreation boating relationship with water levels. These curves show first level information that could help defining optimal and critical water level for the activity. In evaluating new regulation plan, second level of information is needed to complement these curves. Some of these complementary data are showned in terms of impact and adaptation. This information should help to appreciate in a more dynamic perspective behavioral component behind damages. Though limited with validity problems, information about adaptation could help establishing better tradeoffs with other uses and the environment and thus, enhancing integrated management perspective.
