Abstract

The form and erosional characteristics of badlands surfaces in the semi-arid Steveville area of Alberta, Canada, are examined. Field techniques, specially developed, provide data for the construction of computer-plotted contour diagrams on which the results and rates of erosional processes can be shown a time sequence. Although erosion is rapid the surface appear to have assumed a form that, within a five year time period, has remained remarkably consistent.
