Abstract
Chemical composition of groundwater emerging from eskers as springs is studied as part of a regional hydrogeological project in Abitibi. The objectives of the study are to determine the chemical characteristics of the springs, to identify the origin of groundwater using natural tracers (d2H, d18O, tritium), and to study the variability of the geochemistry, according to the esker type and its geographical localisation. The results of this study will allow establishing a first regional overview of the variability of the chemical composition of the springs according to geological and hydrogeological contexts.
