Abstract

These features occur at high elevations in New England (Presidential Range), Gaspésie, western Newfoundland and Labrador. Active and inactive patterned ground, block fields and felsenmeer have been reported. Problems relate to complex deglaciation histories, possibilities that nunataks existed during last glaciation, and role of cold- vs warm-based ice in landform preservation
