Abstract

Ggghydro is a dataset covering the entire surface of the Earth and containing hydrographic data on the areal extent of different kinds of terrain, and on the distribution of mean terrestrial surface runoff. gghydro consists of 21 data files, which are listed in Table 1, and one supplementary file. This note does three things. It describes briefly how the dataset is organized and how the data were measured or derived. It explains how the data are organized within each fille. And it offers suggestions for putting to use the sample Fortran programs which are supplied along with the dataset.
