Abstract
Nineteen maps of surficial deposits at 1:50 000 were produced in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean under the Programme d'acquisition de connaissances sur les eaux souterraines of the Government of Quebec. Here we present the main cha-racteristics (spatial distribution, thickness, texture, structure and form) of glacial and postglacial deposits, in addition to an ice-flow chronology based on the measurement of crosscutting striations. Three ice-flow phases have been recog-nized in the Saguenay Graben region, from the oldest to the most recent: 1) WSW 2) SE and 3) SSE or ESE.
