Abstract
A significant positive correlation was found to exist between the annual net mass balance time series obtained from Mount Logan, Yukon Territory and the areal mean of the November-March precipitation from the Steppe and Forest-Steppe region of the central U.S.S.R. between 1900 and 1970. This report describes this phenomena and presents some possible explanations.
