Abstract
An emerged Sangamonian (125 ka) intertidal rock platform at +7 m a.s.l. is apparently upthrown to +22 m a.s.l. along fault on Cape Breton Island. 15 m displacement may be isostatic response to rapid ice retreat or erosional unloading, or it may be tectonic effect due to release of crustal stress stored during Wisconsinan glacier cover.
