    CGRG Field Trips

  • Medway Creek Walking Tour (Wed June 1, 1200 hrs to ca. 1400 hrs)
    Medway Creek is an incised, 'semi-alluvial', stream adjacent to Western campus that is typical of mixed urban-rural streams in southern Ontario. We will walk (2-3km round trip) along the valley and view/discuss riparian vegetation, stream morphology and dynamics, floodplain sedimentology, hydrology, water quality and stream/watershed management.
